Annoyed AF at my job today

Just a VENT: My job is mostly remote but they require we come in one day a week. It's stupid because I don't meet with any clients in the office, nor do I even collaborate or interact with my colleagues when I am in the office. Most of the times I am in the office my manager doesn't even acknowledge or say hello to me. I don't take it personally she just isn't a friendly person. What is really annoying me today is I went in today and literally no one else showed up. I got so annoyed that I texted my boss and said I am working from home the rest of the day and left. I was recently offered a job paying a lot more and fully remote but decided not to take it because it would have been a lot more stressful and a demanding time suck. I am second guessing my decision 1) because I absolutely hate going into the office and 2) because I really could use that extra financial support. I previously worked in this field and it was really stressful and I got burned out big time. There was no work life balance, and I didn't think the extra money was worth putting myself back into that world. Any ways I guess I am just feeling annoyed that no one told me that they were not coming in today. A simple text or even an email would have been nice.

Could be worse, you could have to go into the office every day.

If my office had room for me, I'd have to go in daily, thankfully they haven't had room for me (yet) but with more people retiring, that could change.

But in theory, I have to go into the office to work with my "team" in-person. Might I add, that my closest "team" member's office is 90 miles away... so there is 0% chance I'll ever be working with a team member, until I move to a different team or they hire someone in my office to join the team current team.

But even if I did have to go into my office, my current small office is pretty cool.

The worst was when I had to travel further to go to the big office daily, especially Friday, when the large office was a ghost town.
Money isn't everything no matter what anyone tells you. Do what makes your life the most enjoyable for you.
@Justafantasy Yes, I am leaning more towards that now after having my life sucked away by a way too demanding career.
@SlippingAway my career in and of itself isn't that demanding, the being away 90% of the time is

Ay 😤 can you still do the other job or is the offer over?
@YoMomma No, and I am thinking it probably would be a nightmare really. I left that world because it was so bad. I let my job take over my whole life for a while and I promised myself never again.

@SlippingAway ah ok ☺
