My work is always…interesting I guess is the right word

But today is downright wild

Even for what we usually deal with

Basically this one guy has a constitutional right to get out of detention before his trial, but the moment he sets foot free he’s committing a crime and he have to have him arrested on the spot

And we’re supposed to figure out what to do with this without the help of the judiciary or the department of corrections

At least I’m never bored

Isn't a constitution by literal definition the supreme law of any nation.

Seems that should logically supersede anything else.

But he doesn’t have a right to be able to stay free, because another court order says he has to go back

So he gets out, and had to go right back in

Ad infinitum

Understand this is something that our general counsel has being saying will happen for years now if the courts don’t start listening to us

He’s just the first person to actually ave it happen to them
@PalteseMalconFunch I think you misunderstand. Generally speaking in cases like this is it not practice that the law that is applied is whatever is the higher level law in a particular case much like how federal judges can't be overruled by a lower court.

If that is not the case could you not have a situation where a city bylaw could overrule your constitution rights?

In terms of what take primacy here seems straightforward. That being said I am not a lawyer.

It’s just no one has ever cared enough to make the laws make sense in certain cases

And now one of those cases has manifest
