I'm giving my current job one week notice today ๐Ÿ˜

I start my new job in two weeks, but I'm taking a week off! Screw it. I can cover myself financially and I'm so sick of that place. I'll have time to get some yard work done, enjoy the beach a little more before the tourons take over, and be able to spend some extra time with my son once he's done school.

A week is plenty when I think of how they treated me. I have more experience than some of my coworkers have been alive and they pay me a substantial bit less. They give me the dumbest tasks and the big boss changes the rules every freaking day so it's like I can never get anything right. He'll even announce things that are contradictory ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'll miss my one manager but we can still hang. Aside from a few sweet coworkers, I will definitely not miss that place. And I need/deserve a break.

I'm so glad for this change!

I almost did that. I quit my last job 2 months ago. Hated it with a fiery passion. Was tempted to give myself a week off and then I decided, since I'm in training I'll do both jobs. Do 4 hours of training at the new job then go to my regular job. Get some extra pay. It was worth it. Even though I gave them 2 weeks notice, it was actually only a week because the new job wouldn't wait that long. Shortly after I left they've been losing employees left and right. Maybe a coincidence but I know for sure many many employees wanted the hell out of there. Even the store manager had enough and bounced.

New job is so much better. Better pay, overtime (which im happy for and upset about at the same time), only 2 bosses but generally only have to deal with one. Technically lots of cowokers but 99% of the time I only have one. Stupid easy work, lots and lots of break time (technically we're overseeing the machines to make sure they don't breakdown). My stress has dropped dramatically. I can even listen to music and podcasts at work
