received my social security income statement...embarassing how little ive earned...proud what i accomplished!!

i had a little fun in my 20's, then hunkered down and got very serious about saving and investing the max. career started in 1984 and i retired in oct 2023, 6 months short of 40 years. i earned a gross of only $955,000 or average 24,500 yearly. in spite of the potholes and detours that comes in everyone's life, i managed to move across the railroad tracks away from the trailer parks to snob hill. home has been around the corner from the country club and golf course since 2000. yippee!! house is paid for and i owe ZERO!! my investment portfolio has grown to 500k. the 1st 100k was nearly impossible back when the ira contribution limits were only 2k!! keeping same vehicle for 20+ years was a very smart move that helped this happen.
