I have a client where we write them 2 reports instead of 1.

The total fee for the client is $2,060. So I ask my coworker who actually does this reports how we should divide up the fee between the report. She tells me 25% for the first report and 75% for the second report. So I do that -- $510 for the first report, and $1550 for the other.

She reviews the report, leaves some notes, and tells me to make some changes. The notes say,

"I know I said to do 25% for the first report, but looking at it now, I think we should just give the first report $750 and give the second report the rest of the fee. Also, $510 isn't 25% of $2060. $515 is."

I ask her if there's a policy or any guidelines as to when we round to the nearest 10 and when we round to the nearest 5. She says there is not, and it's completely discretionary. So basically she just corrected me for no reason and made me feel stupid like I can't do multiplication on a calculator, but I can't point that out or I will look like a petty little bitch. And now I look like a petty little bitch for complaining about it here, too.

Being annoyed at her moving the goalpost isn't petty. Venting isn't perty either.
She needs to learn to draw plans properly, and when they aren't good enough to her, admit to needing to change them because of herself, not because others made a mistake.
