One step closer!!

I just picked up another disabled person to assist!! The process might take a week to complete with my paperwork/background check, etc but I've got a clean record and the man wants me to be his helper so it's all looking wonderful!!!

I’ve been helping care for a disabled person. It can be challenging. Good luck.

@Stuffy I have three so far. One lady is 91 and can't stand up straight so I assist her with driving, cleaning, groceries, etc. The other is 80 and has knee, back & shoulder issues and my third is 58, diabetic, blind & on dialysis

@Tumbleweed I started out with easy cases like that but they of course being so elderly have passed and now I’m stuck with a difficult one. I have to help use a lift machine to help her pee and poo in a pan. But the main problem is that she isn’t very nice. I feel bad but it feels like she is wrecking my life

@Stuffy Oh my! I used to work on the Alzheimer's/Dementia unit, those poor people are so helpless. I can't do it anymore though because I can't physically handle the lifting involved. My people are all still living on their own so they're not at the point to where they need that sort of assistance.

@Tumbleweed yes I do feel concern for her situation, poor girl but I think she is trying to get me to do more and more to the point even if living with her! It has not been mentioned but I have spent some nights.

@Stuffy Oh no, that's not good at all. My 91 year old mentioned me moving in with her & I love her with all my heart but I just can't give up my own apartment & put all my stuff in storage, re arrange my entire life...
