I’m retired, but my favorite place was in my supervisor’s office. They will agree to anything to get you out of there.

@Mamapolo2016 I have genuinely told members that having a breakdown in front of their supervisor is a shockingly effective way to get them to act like a human

@CountScrofula You’re right, but it doesn’t last.

@CountScrofula Effective or not I'd feel dirty and not comfortable with myself doing anything like that 😅

No offense to anyone for who value it as a strategy, I'd rather jump ship and go work elsewhere before considering anything as extreme

@Mamapolo2016 No it's not a like, workable strategy more just a reminder I give to people who never show vulnerability at work. They can end up being doormats for bosses who never see consequences

@Mamapolo2016 I'm on to you 😭 people 😅
@fun4us2b Yeah, well, I’m retired, so you’re not the boss of me anymore!

@Mamapolo2016 show off 😅
@Mamapolo2016 Nyah, Nyah, Nyah.

Never cried (about work) at work, although I once carved bloody half-moons on my palms with my fingernails to avoid it.

I mostly liked and respected my supervisors although there were a few dramatic exceptions. Those relationships didn’t last long.

My definition of a great supervisor is,
1) Hire people you think can do the job.
2) Show them how you want it done.
3) Make sure they have the necessary tools.
4) Step back and let them do it.
5) When guidance or reprimand is required, do it in private.

@Mamapolo2016 Good simple guidelines....sorry you had that experience...that's not right.
