Not HR, but I was once reported to the union because a very religious coworker overheard me and a friend discussing similarities between some Wiccan practices and Vodûn.
Said coworker accused us of being "devil worshippers" and demanded we be forbidden from discussing such things on work premises (we’d been in the break room). I had friends in the union, and the friend also accused is a practicing Wiccan.
The upset coworker was a devout Christian who often brought aspects of her faith and church activities to the workplace.
So the union told her that if discussing religion was going to be out of bounds in the workplace, that would include her prayer sessions, as well as her sale of church suppers—they couldn’t be brought into the building.
Once she realized she would also be restricted, she backed off.
