I’m gonna lose it

All week at work, I’ve been absolutely swamped, doing the work of two people, while my “team” have pretty much sat on their arse, talking, playing on their phones, not once has anyone even thought to help me a little. I’m hardworking and good at my job, but does that mean everyone else can just be lazy and expect me to do it all while they do nothing? Do they not realise how selfish they’re being? If I open my mouth I’ll say something I regret.

I've voluntarily run myself ragged to help another coworker, while doing my own job as well, who threw me under the bus, hurt my feelings and made me look stupid to our boss.
I no longer help this person, I just watch him run around wishing he had help. I no longer even speak to him.

@Tumbleweed Yep, I always help others, whether they’re busy or not, it’s in my nature. It’s infuriating me that people can be so selfish.

@DHggmu Same. I try really hard to be a team player as it makes our job so much easier but when I get thrown under the bus in return, it really stings. Especially when I considered this guy a friend.

@Tumbleweed I get that. I guess the lesson for us both is, as selfless as we are most people only think about themselves, and we’re the ones who get burnt for it.

@DHggmu Every time.
