Should I continue to stay in an area with no work, or move to the more expensive area where all my work is?

I've been trying to find an additional job for almost two years now, but so far I ain't found sh*t. There's more work in DC, but appartment prices are so high idk if I can make it work. What am I gonna do 😮‍💨

Can you job hunt in DC while you continue your current job? Salaries are likely higher in the more expensive areas

Are you going to keep your initial job if you move to DC?
@eMortal Not likely. The drive is too far and my boss is talking about retiring. She's been saying that for about three years now, but I'm not terribly inclined to wait until she does at this point.

@GohantheThird Find a job in DC before you relocate there. Localized your job search in the DC area. In the meantime keep your current job.
