Did you know you can get in trouble for going bathroom?

Depending on what draconian rules the employer sets, AND, it's perfectly legal for them to do that.

"If you don't like it, get another job" this job is close by, and you get to sit down all day. Oh also, you can't talk for more than 5 minutes if it's non work related. Even if you're working you can't talk.

Oh and if you need to go bathroom or go into another area you have to let the boss know. I get it, but this is crazy.

Why are these unreasonable? It depends on the job, I suppose, and if you are essential to be at your particular location. If you are not on break, then gabbing for a full 5-minutes about non work issues is a very reasonable policy. Too many people don’t have a work ethic these days, and think they are there to only serve themselves, and not the job itself.

@Carissimi I agree about a talking policy, but going to the bathroom is a human necessity and a right, not a privilege. There should be federal law defining this and spelling it out for employers.

@twiigss You said you had to let a boss know you were going to the bathroom. Are you saying you are not allowed to use the bathroom?

@Carissimi no we can, but now we can only go during breaks and lunches and we can only go once in-between breaks. If we go twice in-between breaks, we get in trouble.

@twiigss Maybe too many people were skiving off work. Unless you have a bladder problem or diarrhea, once during between breaks is enough for most people.

@Carissimi if I drink way less fluid at work, I'm fine then. As a matter of fact I probably only went bathroom one time at work today. Typically I can go more than 5 times. If I don't drink coffee that's a big one. And if I drink too much water at work. So basically I have to dehydrate myself (unhealthy and dangerous) but guess it's all for money like my personal health doesn't matter if they put in rules like that

@Carissimi yeah they also say going bathroom for more than 10 minutes is excessive. Okay so what if I have a stomach issue that day? Yup, I get in trouble cause I was in the bathroom too long. If I go home early because of my stomach issue, then I get a half point. 8 points and you're terminated.

It's absolutely insane and ridiculous and the federal government should have laws and guidelines spelled out for employers to follow.
