Why am I crying at the thought of going to work?

Many, many years ago a missionary couple had to walk through jungle to their post over several days. No roads. Locals helped them carry their stuff and they walked much further on day 1 than they expected. Then the next day they didn't want to start on time. When asked what was wrong, they said, 'We're waiting for our souls to catch up to our bodies.'

Maybe life has been racing along and you're on autopilot because you haven't had space to really catch up with yourself and know what you want. If so, maybe set aside some time, lock it away, to go somewhere that you love that makes you feel peaceful. And spend some time catching up with what you really think about stuff, process things that you just stuffed into the closet of your mind, that kind of thing....

Because it’s hell and you can be doing something much more valuable with your time.
