I did some part-time work for a lawyer one time to pay for my court case when my ex stopped paying child support.. She knew I didn’t have a lot in savings so it helped me out that way. Took a year to pay for everything but I could choose my own hours after work and on weekends. After the court case was finished she offered to hire me permanently because she was pleased with my work and the fact that I didn’t take 5 hours to do an hour or hour and half worth of work like the previous client did when she worked for her.
I had a lot going on with my daughter’s health issues and didn’t need to be gone any longer than what my full-time job required. So I didn’t take that job she offered later on.
