I'm so sick of my damn job. I wanted to walk out today.

I once again got stuck running the kitchen all by myself because the cook that was meant to be here no called no showed. There was another old man with me who was my helper but he got sent to do the parking lot and other utility stuff so that meant i had to do everything and i was getting snapped at for being behind on things

@buriedalive Im not asking you to change jobs or even tell you its the right thing to do, but I’m curious, why are you still at this one?? I would hope that single handedly running a high paced kitchen needs to be worthy of something out there that is willing to treat you terribly in different ways.
Kitchen jobs are tough and high stress.
I know a man that in after getting his first job in an office rather than a kitchen where he was treated with understanding, kindness and respect, he was shocked! He always felt guilty like he was going to get fired at any moment because…he had to take a day off for his kid, or go to the doctor.

@nonsensiclesnail I'm only here because I need the money and can't find much else. It's hard when you are a drop out with only a ged and all of your experience is either in fast food or retail. "adult" or "real" jobs never call back or if on rare occassion I do get an interview I'm always told sorry but no after the fact. I feel bad for your friend feeling that way about being fired all the time because that's pretty much how it goes here. You call off sick and spend the whole day paranoid and unable to relax and heal because you're afraid of what will happen when you go back the next day or you are spending money you don't really have on obtaining a doctors note as proof so they don't screw with you
