So, we had our recalibration at work meaning everyone got a new manager, coaches and team. Yesterday was our first day.

I don't like it really... one coach is unbelievably loud. It is a terribly loud work environment as it is --- due to people being loud not machinery or anything of that nature. Then, she is intentionally loud on top of that. I can't hear my customers. I don't understand why she screams... what's the point? So that we listen to you over our customer? That's silly. And, there's no way I can do both. It's impossible to listen to two people at the same time. So, obviously you think you're more important than my customer. And, when I say she screams, she SCREAMS! This isn't a volleyball team, you know? We're SUPPOSED to be working in a professional environment.

It's awful. It really is ... 馃様

@ArtieKat It's a customer care center for a cellular carrier (one of the 3 most popular ones in USA). It's a call center environment.

@perceptivei And what does the coach do? My understanding of the word is a trainer - do you mean it as a supervisor?

@ArtieKat Right. Coaches are supervisors. They call them coaches, because they want to push you to make them money.

@ArtieKat CORRECT! She walks around the pod (the area we sit in) and [b]SCREAMS[/b] "WHERE'S THOSE DOLLARS??? LET'S MAKE THAT MONEY!!! LET ME SEE THAT MOOONNNEEYYYYYY!!!!" And, my customers can already hear whispers near me. So, my customers are hearing her scream and yell about making money when maybe 2% of our calls are for the sole purpose of a purchase. Our customers are angry as it is when they call us and their bill is messed up or they have no service. It does NOT make the call any easier when they think we're only wanting commission... that's one of the main complaints we get as it is! It's so embarrassing.

@ArtieKat What's the point? The manager is sitting right there witnessing all of it. They should know it's impossible to hear our customers.
