Well, then ask him for more responsibility. Companies grow. With greater responsibility, you'll earn his trust. That's the door you use to get his ear and elicit change.

@Adogslife: not this guy, he wants to do everything himself. There is no progression here

@Adelh91: well then, don't waste time. Use employment with him to find yourself a better job. Life is too short to be underpaid.
