It will still be there when you return. When I worked in health care, I would occasionally glance at the clocks. Some days time flew. Other times it dragged. The last hour? That's when things would really go to shit. People would crash. Need a code called. Revive with CPR and all the meds. To ICU if they made it. If not, to the morgue. Patients transferred in that last 30 minutes were mostly poor. So they dumped them. And try to handle an unstable patient end of your shift. No overtime unless you begged for it. You needed verbal permission from an idiot manager during a crisis to save a life and to get paid. Fuckers. I do not miss that. It is chaos and abuse in health care. Always will be. Pity those still costing them their emotional and physical well-being. Nice to see you, friend. How's your summer?

@PoetryNEmotion I've only heard a lot of horror stories about what goes on in health care. Especially when covid first hit, the description I heard was a nightmare.

Overall, I'm well. Thanks. I've got plans to get a few things rolling. How are you this summer.
@caPnAhab It was worse before covid. Now it just speeds like a runaway train. It is all about money. People are just numbers to those in managerial positions. People need to value their health more. Prevent. Maintain. Being a patient in a hospital can be severe or existing as a prisoner in a nursing home is beyond words. Only those who work in them truly know. The public may see the absolute tip of an iceberg. What they don't see is...they would never believe.

I am busy gardening. Hiking. Working full-time nights out of town. I drive a lot. By the time this assignment ends likely in November, I will be ready for the winter off of work. I spin poetry daily. Write horror stories. Still working on producing them for two books. I hope for a vacation in July or in August. Second one of my lifetime. Excited. Thank you.
