I started a new job recently after being laid off. It's in a completely different field, far less pay but way less stressful

I had to accept that I would need to start from the bottom and work my way up. My previous industry is suffering and there is no work. It was pretty depressing at first to see everything I worked so hard to achieve just be ripped away, but now I see it as a blessing in disguise. That industry was killing me, and now I have a chance to have a job that isn't so stressful. I am seeing this as a probation time to prove myself. Once I get my licensing I know I'll make better money. It's tough taking such a steep pay cut, but I think in the end it will be worth it.

Less stress is good
@Viper yes, it's almost surreal how different the environment is than my last job.

@SlippingAway My current job is weird in that it almost completely depends on whom the manager is. Get a different manager and completely different way of handling things or expectations.
@Viper A Good manager really can make a world of difference
