I hate when people at work who don't speak want to ask you for things

One lady I would greet in passing, like I do most everyone else because I think it's a polite thing to do.
I would get a half smile of just an eyebrow wave.

Then she barges in my room to ask me for supplies 🙄

Well it happens. Some people just see it as work and just want to do they job and leave. But im curious what was your response?

@iamnikki Yes, i know what you mean. But you have to be the example. Don't walk by because although she never spoke back you never know what impact you were making by saying hello. You would be surprised what your smile and a hello would do to someone.

@Jackson711247 her and the several others were draining me honestly so I had to stop, for my sake. I used to be that way and I do still feel that way but it was draining. I'm just trying to make it to summer so I can be done with it.

@iamnikki Well, i understand that dont let it drain you. Sometimes, it's just best to let it go. I had to do that before at a couple of my jobs but was agitated because i was like, "Come on, dude, that's not you. You are outgoing funny and goofy. But I still didn't speak lol.

There's lots of people who work where I am, but I don't interact with or see them on a daily basis. Like Linda, she works down the aisle. So unless I'm walking by her area, I don't go out of my way to say hello, but neither does she. That's just how it is here, it's nothing personal.

Sometimes I'm at my area working and people who are coming in, in the morning pass by and don't say hi, but if they need something they'll come by and ask for it. But I don't take it personally that they don't say hi. Most new people don't even know who I am.
I'm only in the office 3 days a week and face this often. People are so self important and rude sometimes.
