So I've been out of work for a year!

My CV is up to date with all the work I've been doing since then.
The recruitment consultant said, so what have you been doing since your last job?

Do you not read cv's?

I'm unemployed...
I've volunteered... I've done 3 courses...

I think recruitment agencies employ really stupid people if honest
the amount of times I had to tell them how to do their job is ridiculous

@Gangstress they piss me off.
Tbh I don't believe they have the jobs they post.
I think it's just their way of trying to catch people...
Then they say we will keep your cv on file.

If they can 'pimp' you out then that's what they'll do in an attempt to keep a regular stream of money coming in.
They don't really want you to get anything permanent not unless they can get a big commission.

@Mellowgirl yeh ive often wondered the same it just seems like its that completely. Regardless of what youre looking for.

They most likely read the CV.
They just want to hear it in words, in real time. I don't know if its a face to face conversation but expressions and body language give away a lot.
People don't always say the full truth on CV's - I'm not saying you don't but recruitment agents are aware there can be things left our or over exaggerated. Etc.

@SW-User she had my old cv... It seems even though she contacted me via a job board.
Which has an up to date cv on.
So I forwarded her the updated version.
She can fill in the dots.
After my registration lapsed due to fraud on my bank account due to an amazon hack.
