I don't understand.

At work I do prep. I only know that and fries. I work at McDonald's. Usually after I get dishes done I got take a 10 minute break and then I go to fries. The other day I was back there doing dishes and my boss comes back there and asked me how long it was going to take me. I was like I don't know. She said ok try to hurry because I need you on fries and you may not get a 10. I said me? She said well anybody. We were short handed. So I get done and go up to fries. She then starts sending everyone on a break. But me. It was about 20 minutes before I got off and after the 5th person she's sending on break I asked if i could have one and she said no. I'm thinking wtf why not? So then I said can i at least go take a couple of puffs off a cigarette? She said go take a 10. At this point it had been 3 hours since I had one. If i hadn't said anything she wouldn't have let me go. That's the only bad thing that has happened but it really irritated me.

I used to work at McDonalds. I was on fries all day and it was nearing 7 of 8 hours without a break. I had to fight to get one because i was extremely thirsty and i didnt care if we were shorthanded i was entitled to a break. Others got one. I learned at those places you got to fight for it or they are gonna think it's ok to not give you one. I lasted a bit over 3 months. They treated me really bad there

@scabs damn. I don't blame you for leaving. What I don't get is there they make sure everyone gets a break. I'm not sure why she did that.

@Pecifini probably because you questioned her and spoke up. The managers at McDonalds at the one i worked at hated it when someone said something it seemed. I got screamed at in front of everyone once because i looked at the roster sheet to see who was coming in today. Manager saw and berated me for doing that saying only managers can look at it but others did it all the time.

@Pecifini You can report not getting a break after 6 hours to the labor board, they will fine the restaurnt apx 10K for each violation.

@Pecifini honestly id keep a record of how often this happens and send it to the owner with what was said in oreintation. When i left i responded to the exit survery and blasted the place apart. Dont know if it did anything but i hope it got their attention
