Yesterday I failed an IV on a child. It was so absolutely discouraging for me.
More so because a crowd of people were watching including the parents, the OR staff and a colleague. I hate missing IVs. They make me feel like losers.

put your thumb beside the vein so it dont roll. and dont stick it completely threw it also.. that is what i found out..i was phlebotomized for six month with a nice little gal i call miss stickalot..she did get better..
