@ABCDEF7 love this. I ask candidates to tell me about themselves for several reasons. You already have their Resume for education, awards, designations, etc. I want to determine how talkative they are and if they’re prone to over sharing.
Another question to consider when an employer asks if you have any questions - what makes an employee successful on your team? This will provide you insight on the manager and they’re leadership style.

you can tell them about your upbringing and put it in a positive way. tell them your favorite subject in school if its related in any way to your job. hobbies and interests well, what are your hobbies and interests?
