@ABCDEF7 love this. I ask candidates to tell me about themselves for several reasons. You already have their Resume for education, awards, designations, etc. I want to determine how talkative they are and if they’re prone to over sharing.

you can tell them about your upbringing and put it in a positive way. tell them your favorite subject in school if its related in any way to your job. hobbies and interests well, what are your hobbies and interests?
