Why do my coworkers ignore me outside of work?

So over the weekend I saw some of my co workers, I said “Hey what’s up?” to them and they just looked at me and continued talking to each other.
Earlier today after the staff got together and discussed about the next school year, one of coworkers ignored me when I said bye to her. The teacher must of not heard me. I feel like when we’re all together they don’t talk to me or they just avoid me. I know I have autism and an employee but I’m still a person. At least some of them talk to me so I stuck with them.

Well. Here's the brutal harsh truth of the world. If you don't fit in with the cool kids, you're out in the cool. People often like to think of themselves as inclusive until they have to be, then they get overwhelmed and go back to their comfort zones.

I don't have solutions but know that it is NOT your fault.

@SW-User Let’s not sugarcoat it. Nobody wants to be friends or be around an autistic person. Most autistic don’t have friends and that’s normal. It’s just the truth.

@PetiteJulie01 People are obviously free to hangout and reject whomever they want. The funny thing is they never seem to enjoy when they themselves have to face similar rejection for some or other reason. Holy shit. Does it give you cancer to be courteous?

@SW-User I guess. I mean I don’t know everyone’s going to like me but they could’ve at least answered but I can’t make them. I just moved on.

@PetiteJulie01 are you lacking common sense or something? You’ve been insulting autistic people on here and you think you’re the shit! Your brain cells must be dead.

@ElizabethBabe1994 Yes I know. It wouldn't hurt just to respond positively. I honestly don't know how to help. Rejection particularly over an issue that is no fault of your own sucks. I'm so sorry.
