I was in the position 2 years ago. I quit. Luckily i found a job within a month and im so happy i did that. It was tough for a month worrying. But it was ok.

I have only done it once, didn’t have many bills only the monthly usual ones., never got another job. But it was great ,I retired. That was 2 years ago.
It’s better to have something to be able to fall back on just in case but it all depends on you and your job , I had had enough ,burnt out , done. Your decision but you have to live with it, good luck whatever you decide.

Risky but depends on your location, the job market, your skills, and the type of work you do.

Is there is a reason why you cannot look for a job while employed?
@Northwest I've looked, I know several options. If I want I'd be working at another job within a day or two but those would b more of the same

Do u have 6 months of emergency cash to hold you over?

If not…your family comes first.
Worst without backup plan, esp., with dependants to feed.
