A student asked to be moved out of my class because it seems I just write the problem and work on the board without explaining it.

@AmbivalentFriability Yes. I’ve been in touch with mom. I try to resolve issues. Complaints against me are rather rare and far between. These students go through enough. I don’t like being another burden- other than the obvious of being the math teacher.
