What do you recommend for work?

I know practically everyone is hiring right now but in my experience and from what I'm told by most everyone is that employers still treat employees horribly. I know beggars can't be choosers but here I am asking anyway. I want to avoid retail, food service and warehouse work, too many bad experiences and too many on the job injuries. Yah I have a job and I know the saying its easier to find a new job when you have one which is why I haven't quit yet but I'm at my wits end with this place.

Would you guys happen to know some alternative work places I can keep an eye out for? The goal is to find a less stressful job to make ends meet while on my own my time I can make strides pursuing a career in software development

Yeah I've worked retail and hospitality and it's not great..I'm looking to get a job in a primary school working with kids atm, or maybe do admin or something like that where I don't have to deal with a lot of people.

@Ryannnnnn yah man the less people the better. Its not even customers thats the problem, although they do annoy me but its fleeting. They're only there for a little while then they're gone and the problem is gone. My problem is management, always has been. Never good enough, rarely get thank yous, always asked to do more without proper compensation. the list goes on and on

@Ryannnnnn Yah the mindset at my current job is like you owe the company. Like its our livelihood. Multiple times I was lectured for taking sick time when I was SICK. I mean thats what its for is it not?

@CuddleFeesh and yeah they sent me an email with my p45 on christmas eve and that was my way of finding out I'd been let go lol. No text, no phonecall. Terrible man.

@CuddleFeesh Hahahahaha. Yeah gtfo that's toxic and wrong, fuck that place. They're hiring you to do something for them, not the other way round.

@Ryannnnnn I was once called to interview at McDonalds when I was 17 just to be told that they're currently not hiring. I was fired once at a trucking job call center in front of the whole office, not subtlely either. I was yelled at, like super high decibel yelling. I was lied to by a store manager that I am not allowed to transfer to another store because I was moving and lied to again by a new store manager at the current store a few years later and they refuse to transfer me too. Also he talked like he wanted to move me up in position, either management or something more in depth. Applied to several positions, got interviews. Nothing so much as a whisper and those positions already got filled.

@Ryannnnnn I would except the fact of the matter is I still need work, and quitting on the spot makes me look bad to future employers. Trust me there have been multiple occasions I nearly walked out
