What would you think here?

I texted the work schedule to my cleaner last night. She didn't reply even though it was fairly early. Then she texted me back early this morning and said she had been sleeping so couldn't reply. I only sent the text at about 8PM so that was odd in itself that she was sleeping so early.
She has had 2 medical appointments in the past couple weeks. Today I asked her if all was fine with the house. I thought she had not answered me so I said 'What? Is everything fine?" She then told me she didn't like my tone. I did not mean it to sound harsh so dont understand why she got mad and like she wanted to cry.
How can I handle this?

I think when people are off the clock, they don’t need to respond to you or discuss anything not work-related. People have their own lives. Maybe just quit texting her so much.

@SW-User I spoke to her in person asking if everything was fine. Not in a text

@BluePlanet Well, then I’d say it’s best to keep it work-related in person as well.

@SW-User Exactly. And it's certainly not any employer's business what time their cleaner choses to go to sleep 🙄
