Half the problem isn't math. It's how you organize the problem.

Please look closely at how it's organized.

BTW Understand your problem. Was the same as a kid.

Let's split the job, OK? You add up all the hours, I'll add up all the minutes & decimals.

0.15+0.45 hours should be 0.6hrs=36min
Unless that's 15min+45min=1hr. Ambiguous.
40+55+10+15=120minutes=2hrs.

So the minutes total is either 3hrs or 2hrs,36min
depending on how we interpret 0.15+0.45

Just add them into your hours total and your done!
