My job sucks...

...but I just spoke with a person ,who was so grateful for my help that she started crying.

Now I feel better, not because she was crying, but because I feel like I helped someone.

Cause sometimes I feel like, " what am I at this job for"??

@iamnikki It took me a long time to get there.....but it happens!

@awhitedot what do you do for work?
How long it take you to get there

@iamnikki I work in IT and it took me a long time and a lot of work to get here but it has paid off. I didn’t even know this type of position existed a few years ago but I’m doing exactly what I wanted to be doing. It’s also 180 degrees from what I originally set out to do when I got done with school. If there is a job you think you might like, go find people doing it and ask them about it. I have gotten more jobs through people I know than just searching for them on my own.

@awhitedot where do I find people at? I'm joking but thank you. Do you suggest reaching out to strangers on linked in?
What did you originally set out to do?

@iamnikki LinkedIn is good. Any other social networking works as well. I always enjoy talking about my work and I think you will find that most people who enjoy their jobs do. It may take some time to find the right people but definitely don’t be afraid to approach them and ask. What can it hurt?
