I have been at my job for over 1 year and have never called in

I used to wonder how this was possible when I'd hear others say the same.

I guess it's because I never had a job to give you ample time off.you HAD to call in if you wanted a break, otherwise you'd be working day after day with no break.

In my last job, you'd get denied PTO just because your TEAMMATES were behind. Like how is that my fault?

Even though I don't like this job, I can say that I get ample PTO.
Just came back from a 5 day "weekend" (Thanksgiving holiday) and didn't even have to touch PTO.
And yes, I got paid.

I have over 100 PTO hours available

I find the pressure of new jobs so stressful that i need to take annual leave on a monthly basis for a couple of years until i settle in 馃槵

@SW-User how long is your leave? This job made me wait 6 months before I could take more than 24 PTO hrs. THAT was difficult.

I only had 25 PTO hours that I was allowed to use within that 6 months. So I waited to use it on my birthday and that's when I took my first out of state trip

@iamnikki Our annual leave is 4 weeks, but you usually have to wait a whole year to take any, but some places will let you take a week after 3 months etc. Yes waiting 6 months before you could take any leave at all would be really hard.

@SW-User oh wow, we definitely can't take a week after being here 3 months. I hav茅 10 days off coming up soon.馃槂 Including the weekend though
