Working from home

Because of the pandemic I've had to work from home. I wasn't sure how that would work out. It has worked out really well and now I really do not want to return to the office. I feel far more productive and it gives me so much more freedom. I'm working outside of my core hours. One thing I've been very unmotivated this week so far so havent been very productive. Either way I've found my mental health in a better position since working from home. If only I could reduce the alcohol intake I may actually get somewhere.

What have been your experiences working from home?

Same, but I discovered this many years ago when I was home nursing my baby, and later reinforced when I had a bad accident / long recovery from the 2 surgeries.

In person work, specifically my manager, causes me a LOT of unnecessary anxiety. My mental health tanks when my manager has his bullying moments [reported to HR, his comments have alway been just sly enough I can't ever prove his intent or action was actually harrassment].

I love the flexibility of wfh, being with my kid, helping distance learning, being safe from Covid-19 [and seasonal other viruses for that matter, as I'm high risk they already scared me]. I typically put in more work but admittedly take more breaks.

@Starcrossed yes it is definitely a benefit for some. I know my manager wants to get back to the office as soon as she can but her home situation is a bit different to mine. I'm sorry to hear that your boss causes you anxiety. That sucks.
