What's the weirdest manager you've had?

Second week at my new job. My manager is 10yrs older than me and I feel like I'm the older one. Our first night working away she got drunk and didn't get back till 5am. Our train was at half 7 and we were interviewing... She did the same thing the next day.

I'd say that she's going through a 'phase' in her life where she's using her 'work freedom' (job travel) to compensate for the life she's not having at home.
I'll bet (just to justify my statements) that her husband and she are not on the most loving of terms and/or her home pressures with children are stressing her too much AND... a free night out using liquor as an excuse for a fling might be her way of coping. I'll also bet (on the same terms) that she'll crash soon. I hope she has some close friends who she can trust to talk her through this when it happens.

in the 70s. I worked at a convenience store - the manager "Ted" like younger boys - told me to look at a magazine - it was a guy porno magazine (before the interweb).

he asked me what I thought.

ended up being really friendly with a couple of the 12 or 13 year olds - if I knew then what I know now I would have reported his sorry ass and got him fired (and possibly jailed)

Back, back, when I was a gas station cleark, I had one manager who was obsessed at making sexual references.

I was way too innocent at the time to understand anything. So it was weird when we would say words out of context and laugh.

He got fired and replaced after a few months.

@Wol62 yeahh shes got a great personality, but that's not exactly appropriate way to behave. I don't really see why that's weird haha. He might have gone to the gym or something before and needs to have a shower.

@wonderland63893 Ha ha fair enough, at a big hotel I worked at, we had a manager, he was white, and was so racist to the black and asians that worked there. Calling them all kinds of slurs, one night they got him drunk, did all the work and then dumped in a large vat of water, they we cook vegetbales in, it was just big enough for him to sit in. He was terrified they were going to cook his white ass.
