What would you tell someone who felt stuck in their job but also seemed to fear changing their career?

I left my job last year....for the sake of my sanity.
Im not scared of trying anything new.....but i am struggling to think whatelse i can actually do other than work with kids.....its much harder than i thought it would be.

Well, my ex wife who quite her job after being passed over for a promotion twice quite. It was a very stable good paying job, she had lots of time off, but quit over sour grapes. She has been fired get again in the three years,since leaving. Don't leave anything that is even slightly secure in this economy.
