I work in an unhealthy environment. What should I do to get myself out and still employed?

There are three employees and two supervisors that are making life as a housekeeper difficult. Especially concerning when we're cleaning up after surgeries, yet no hazard pay or special duty pay.

This has been going on for a few months now and I am just at the end of my rope. I want to go to school in Australia or Germany or even in another state.

This is why you need to be in a union, it's the sort of situation where they can pressure the employer & get you either safer, or paid better.

The Union is still working on the hazard pay issue but the director of HR is being stubborn. It just comes to the environment I am in and I want out.

Do I have to be signed into the Union before anything happens or they can still help just in a limited fashion (Cause I do not make enough to pay their monthly fee)?
