He really smells... how to tell someone they smell bad?

There is one Coworker, really smells bad, sweaty.. not only me but everyone around is annoyed..
How to tell someone they smell without hurting their feelings?? Is it possible or is it rude?

Leave deodorant coupons on his desk anonymously.

@Kwek00 😂 It is better than shouting, "Ewww, you really stink. Take a shower man."

@SweetMae I honestly don't know about this. I think both are just bad? They can feel pretty degrading. And people ussually don't notice this from themselves, same goes for morning breath. It can be a medical condition for all we know. I think it's better to talk about it. It's like Jayelle says, you just don't know. If this person is struggling with it for a long time, if it's already a frustration that he carries with him/her, and the coworkers react in a (passive) agressive way it can actually be quite damadging.

People have this tendency for creating standards of why something is... and then applying them to everything. Sometimes these standards work, sometimes they don't. Like: not every fat person is someone that is fat because they are lazy people that eat disgusting food. This might be true in a lot of cases, but at some point in your life, you are going to use that reason to adress the problem of someone being fat, while that person actually has a muscle deffeciency. These people are ussually already mentally troubled because they are confronted with something that is super hard to do annything about, and then they just get compared by a stereotype in the open that they don't fit into. It's pretty hurtfull, since these people have feelings too. I think it's better to figure out what is going on, on an individual level... which is seriously hard to do, since everyone is biased to some degree.
