Should I expect an offer?

So yesterday I did a final round interview with a large firm for an internship position this summer, and I can't seem to tell how it went. Immediately afterwards I felt good about it, but I'm not sure since it's so different than interviews I've done in the past. It was supposed to be a behavioral interview and the only real behavioral question I got was, "Why Company X?" The rest of it was just casual conversation with a partner at the firm. The partner wasn't very expressive, so it was hard for me gauge his thoughts. At the end of the interview he asked me if I had any questions regarding the internship and if I had his contact info. When I said I only had his name, he told me he would send me an email so that I would have it (he did afterwards). In the email it said that he enjoyed speaking to me. Is it possible that I got the job?

Those are impossible to interpret unless they make an actual offer in that moment, you’ll have to waiT

Since he emailed,You should respond that or reiterate reasons why you would like to work there and that you enjoyed meeting both of them. Sometimes one partner is genius asshole and try need to know you can handle both personality types.

And that you Hope to hear from them soon.

@Mindful The recruiting manager said she would call me on Monday with the verdict.I emailed the partner back thanking him for his time and efforts. I also told him the position that I applied for had all that I was looking for in an internship, so we shall see. Thanks for the insight!

That sounds great. Just know that if you don’t get it, you did great. Also IF you don’t get it, be as grateful and let them all know that if “the new intern doesn’t work out, please keep me in mind!”@purpleemandem
