Do you have to pick up lunch for the office?

I was asked to help with lunch for this meeting today, one that I wasn't attending, so I said 'Am I just ordering it, or ordering it and paying for it?' The response was 'No just order it, I'll pay for it and we'll get somebody to run over there and pick it up.'

So the meeting started at 11 AM, I placed the order, AND I had to pay for it in order to submit the order online. No one followed up with me so I just went to pick it up. When I returned, I got my items out of that bag, opened the meeting door, slammed the bags on the conference room table and closed the door back. I didn't say a word. They get the hell on my nerves. 🤬 The meeting was scheduled last week so they could have arranged for catering then, instead of waiting until the last damn minute. 🙄

I routinely do this as part of my job. One thing that really helps, is that I have a company credit card for the payment.💵 I think I'd definitely feel differently if it was coming straight out of my pocket. If I slammed the food down on the table, that wouldn't have gone over very well fo me. 😬
