Would you want to work with homeless people?

More specifically, finding them a place to live?

Ive been ofered a job doing just that. But I have so many questions since I interviewed the other day.

I'm nervous about the job. What if the people have behavior problem and are irate or beligerant?

I was told that I may have to transport people periodically in my own car. Then manager says I won't have to. She said she never has and has worked there 5 years. And I thought " well yeah, you're the manager"

Your thoughts?

To succeed in that job you'll need to work on yourself. Work on fear of interaction with homeless people, on the way you perceive them.
They will know if you're worried and that will make job more difficult.
@eMortal I’ve spoken with her a bit off threads and I don’t think that’s it. She’s merely worried about her safety with the driving thing. I volunteer at a homeless shelter but I would have a similar concerns as a women transporting possibly men I don’t actually know very well, that may or may not have mental illness.
@eMortal She’s very kind and supportive of a person. She’d be perfect for this job, concern aside.
