How successful are you at accepting that some employees aren't interested in being a consummate professional or even simply professional?

How've you coped?

I have the opposite problem.. my employers aren't able to appreciate or recognise/look after employees who are professional, hard-working and knowledgeable.. and ass-lickers and bossy/pushy colleagues are promoted who are rude to *customers* and other employees.
Shrug. If they aren’t interested in doing the job the way the company needs it done - and do not make a sincere attempt to change... there are other jobs and there are other employees, and we need to switch out. Give them a final written warning and if they don’t straighten up, fire them.

Sounds like a failure of management.

My professionalism or political correctness is questionable but my works good.

It's more that employers are lazy fucks who don't know their own staff. Uninspired co-workers I can manage, I just run past them.
