Jobs I’ve done: bussed, dish washed, construction, landscaping and lawn design and maintenance, painting, shop hand- laborer....Amongst many others...

So what are jobs that people claim Americans don’t want to do?

There are lazy individuals here like everywhere. I personally knew one person in particular that hadn’t worked in several years. No mental or physical disabilities. She lived off her children. She was not elderly. Her children didn’t do very well financially. In fact they struggled a lot. She claimed that in her 40s no one would consider hiring her thus her lack of employment. In an attempt to help her & her children I was able to get her quite a simple job offer. Full time, weekends off, closed for holidays, paid vacation & insurance. It was at the same building I worked at. I pleaded with them for months about how this woman was in need of a job. She was turned down at all these places etc They finally call her to give her the job. I don’t find out from her tho. Not at first. I hear it from the ladies in the kitchen. Who say she refused their offer of employment. I was confused & frustrated. But I said nothing to her since it was clear she didn’t think I knew. Months later she & I are having a conversation when she brings up that workplace. She tells me they offered her work a while back. But she turned them down. Why I ask. She says almost with a laugh that she was too good to work there. Now she wasn’t too good to live off her already struggling children. But that job yeah too good. Those with such an attitude make me sick.
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit That's horrible. There are bums everywhere, different sexes, different ethniticies..people who just don't want to work and will work the system, or other people, so they don't have to. The sad part is people never change I try to break off my associations with them though.
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit wait till her kids turn 18 then the gravy train stops - and this BUM will be going to bars begging 70 year old men to buy her a drink. She has a future of standing in lines. Of course by then she will most likely have developed a fake disability like 90% of Americans have just to buy food.
