DDonde it makes me sad that you think it's only work if you don't want to do it but have to. work shouldn't have to be like that. if it's something you're putting work into and that others will see the results of (whether that be hearing a song you recorded or eating food you farmed), it is work.
and the "being paid" thing is just totally inaccurate. if someone builds you a house, or cooks you a meal, or programs you a video game, and then doesn't charge you for it, have they done no work?
