I have plenty I can do in my free time, and if I'm secure financially, I can even branch out and learn new hobbies and skills.

I'd never work again and just work on my music.

@DDonde it makes me sad that you think it's only work if you don't want to do it but have to. work shouldn't have to be like that. if it's something you're putting work into and that others will see the results of (whether that be hearing a song you recorded or eating food you farmed), it is work.

and the "being paid" thing is just totally inaccurate. if someone builds you a house, or cooks you a meal, or programs you a video game, and then doesn't charge you for it, have they done no work?

@clooo No, they've done a good deal of work. I suppose you could call it voluntary work. I guess it's just a matter of where you want to draw the line between what is and is not work. It doesn't really matter. If I can call working on my hobby all day for nobody except myself my dream job, then I'll do that.
But when people talk about jobs - usually they mean stuff that is done for someone else, which is why I didn't pick dream "job".

@DDonde fair enough. that is right on the line as far as i'm concerned. i should have made my question more clear!
