And so I did it.

These past few weeks have been a monstrosity. Meetings, meetings to discuss meetings that were held, meetings to schedule (or re-schedule) meetings, so on and so forth. I've listened to truly brilliant people talk and have suffered through mind-numbing droll; people were entertaining whether or not they meant to be. I've listened to personal and professional drama, vital information, pointless dribble, and everything in between.

Today I reached a point. The meeting started off badly and was heading toward total uselessness when - wait for it - politics made its messy flopping sound as it hit the table, dulling the atmosphere and bringing out its trademark harsh tones and childish barbs. Someone looked at me among the back-and-forth about tariffs/tweets/reports/upcoming elections - very little discussions about policies - and said "What do you think?"

Okay I wasn't dressed the same way and I didn't sing it nearly as well but I did the arms motion and sang...

….and I walked out.

Wow! It must feel good to do that... to take a stand... to take only what’s acceptable to you.:)

What was your first feeling when you walked out of that meeting?
What was the reaction of the people?

@seeandhear Oh, they did get the message. Loud and clear. That earned you respect in not taking bs from anyone. You showed people how to respect your time and theirs.
