I’m not very surprised

I am not very surprised but am a little put off.
Not one: not two: but [i]three!![/i] people sent a text saying they’ll be “a little late” because they haven’t made it back from the holiday getaways, “a little late” averaging two hours. But they’re on the way so I don’t need to worry!!!
I’ll hang out here for a few minutes.

So - how’s everything with you?

Now I see what you’re talking about, given your other responses. You’re the boss! I feel they were very inconsiderate and irresponsible to leave you hanging like this. They sure didn’t plan very well, nor take their boss and job into consideration. Not very dependable and terribly inconsiderate of them to treat you this way. I’d be ticked, too! In fact, I don’t think I’d be there when they showed up, and with no explanation. They’d get the hint. I’d lock up. Of course you can’t just leave the business unless you’re the only one there. I wouldn’t sacrifice a days wages. I would be tempted to tell them don’t bother to come in.
