Do people really forgot what you say?

I went to a training today and of course our site coordinator has us to participate verbally which I loathe -_-. I feel strong when I type out my thoughts instead of speaking them out. Anyways, I spoke up during the meeting since our site coordinator said my name. I felt like my answer wasn't good enough. Do people really forget what you say since they have other things on their mind?
