I feel unappreciated at work by someone who hired me.

I feel like the program manager doesn't appreciate my efforts on what I do on the job. The only person that actually appreciate my efforts is the children coordinator. Now the children coordinator words of praise is helpful but I really value the program manager words because she is the one who hired me. I never hear her say the "I appreciate you on what you do with the students in school and after school." I also feel intimidated by her which is why I don't hold much of a conversation with her other than a "Hello, how are you?" I don't plan on quitting but I will try to do better at my job. If I don't get noticed by my program manager on the things that I contribute then as long as I know I am trying my best.

Why not arrange a sit down meeting and ask for some feedback on your performance and how you can improve?

@ozgirl512 I could try that even though I am intimidated by her. The things is if she hasn't said anything negative to me then I must be doing ok right?

@OpalFlower probably correct, but if you ask it shows you're keen to improve ;)
