Do I close with something like:

No .. it should go something like this in your cover letter.
Hiring Manager,
I would like to express my interest in a position for your company. Based on the posted description I am confident I have the necessary skills and experience and would be a great asset to your company as I have multiple transferable skills that qualifies me to fill this position.
Herewith I have attached my resume for your reference. Thank you so much for your time and consideration I look forward for your favourable reply.
