Is your job fulfilling?

Or is a job even supposed to be fulfilling?

Mine is draining me, emotionally anyway.

"Fulfilling" would be a bit of a stretch. It's nice and low-stress, and the pay is good, which is what I need right now. But I don't feel a deep sense of fulfillment from it. I don't feel like I'm making a profound difference.

Is a job supposed to be fulfilling? I don't know. I think some jobs are meant to be fulfilling. Those jobs in which we work directly with people should be fulfilling, but all too often they aren't because we have rules that we have to follow, or we have to deal with people who are entitled, or who are just mean and nasty.

I'm sorry to hear that your job is draining you. I hope that it gets better, or that you find something better. Sometimes it's not the job itself that is draining. Dealing with a difficult boss, or difficult coworkers, can be draining too.

@TeresaRudolph71 thank you.. The job itself is easy now that i know how to do it correctly. But it's very mundane.
I hate the environment, sitting in the middle of two people, both at an arms-length away.
Constant noise, even on break. Etc

@iamnikki You're welcome. I'm glad that you've been able to learn the job and that it has gotten easier. But I also know that monotony can become tiresome.

Ah, so it's a stressful environment. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that at least you're able to get some peace and quiet when you get off work for the day.
