could working second shift be the reason for not being able to find friends?

could working second shift be the reason for not being able to have friends? I work second shift from 4 pm to 12. so on weekdays and Saturdays i work Tuesday through Saturday, im busy in the evening. I am not sure if its really effecting me that much. I understand that its harder to go to social events because they are all held in the evenings but people dont do anything on weekdays anyway and I still have Sundays. if this is the problem and lets say I need the second shift differential to survive so i cant switch shifts how do I meet new people and enough to become friends with them? after one day of talking to people i have never been able to form a friendship.

Second shift is tough. I did it for years. You don't see people as much
@uncalled4 yea but I like that i dont need an alarm to wake up there is always parking spots no traffic and I get a shift differential. Im too used to that, its tough for me to get used to first shift.
