Become present. Meditate if you know how. If you don't know how, it's not hard to learn. If you're anxious, you can get more centered simply by saying to yourself as you breath in and out; Breathing in, I know I'm breathing in. Breathing out, I know I'm breathing out. Sync those phrases, as you repeat them silently to yourself, with your in-breaths and out-breaths. You can do this for as long as you like. Try it with your eyes closed to reduce outside stimuli. Don't think of anything but those phrases. When other thoughts arise, don't try to figure out what they mean. Just envision them turning to into pink-magenta clouds over your head, and see them floating away behind you. Continue focusing on your breath and repeating the phrases. You'll find it very calming.
